Palestinska civilna družba poziva k bojkotu, dezinvesticijam in sankcijam proti Izraelu dokler ta ne bo začel spoštovati mednarodnega prava ter univerzalnih načel človekovih pravic

Leto dni po zgodovinskem svetovalnem mnenju Meddržavnega sodišča, ki je izgradnjo izraelskega zidu na zasedenih palestinskih ozemljih označilo kot nezakonito, Izrael še vedno nadaljuje z izgradnjo kolonialnega zidu ter odprto nasprotuje odločitvi sodišča. Po osemintridesetih letih izraelske zasedbe Zahodnega brega (vključno z vzhodnim Jeruzalemom), Gaze in Golanske planote, Izrael še naprej širi judovske naselbine. Svojemu ozemlju je enostransko priključil vzhodni Jeruzalem in Golansko planoto, sedaj pa s pomočjo zidu de facto priključuje tudi velike dele Zahodnega brega V senci prerazporejanja sil iz Gaze v trajno obleganje, se Izrael pripravlja na gradnjo in širjenje svojih naselbin na Zahodnem bregu. Po tem ko so pred sedeminpetdesetimi leti Izrael zgradili na ozemlju, ki so ga v večji meri etnično očistili in iz njega pregnali takratne palestinske lastnike, je danes večina Palestincev beguncev, v Izraelu pa še naprej deluje ustaljen sistem rasne diskriminacije do lastnih arabsko-palestinskih državljanov.
Z ozirom na neprestane izraelske kršitve mednarodnega prava in
glede na to, da je od leta 1948 že več sto resolucij ZN obsodilo kolonialno in diskriminatorno politiko Izraela, ter jo označilo za protizakonito in pozvalo k takojšnjim, primernim in učinkovitim ukrepom, in
glede na to, da vse oblike mednarodnih intervencij in mirovnih pogajanj do sedaj niso uspele prepričati ali prisiliti Izraela, da spoštuje mednarodno humanitarno pravo, temeljne človekove pravice in preneha z okupacijo ter zatiranjem Palestincev, in
z ozirom na to, da so ljudje v mednarodni skupnosti že mnogokrat v preteklosti nase prevzeli odgovornost, da se bojujejo proti nepravičnosti, kot je bil na primer boj proti apartheidu v Južnoafriški republiki, z raznimi načini bojkota, dezinvesticijami in sankcijami, in
navdahnjeni z bojem Južnoafričanov proti sistemu apartheida ter duhom mednarodne solidarnosti, moralne doslednosti in odpora proti nepravičnosti ter zatiranju;
Mi, predstavniki palestinske civilne družbe, pozivamo mednarodne civilne organizacije in zavedne ljudi po vsem svetu, da pričnejo z vsesplošnim bojkotom ter dezinvesticijami proti Izraelu, ki bodo podobne sankcijam proti Južnoafriški republiki v času apartheida. Pozivamo k izvajanju pritiska na lokalne vlade, da razglasijo embargo in začnejo izvajati sankcije proti Izraelu. Vse vestne Izraelce vabimo, da podprejo ta poziv in podprejo pravičnost ter resničen mir.
Te nenasilne kazenske ukrepe je potrebno izvajati dokler Izrael ne izpolni svoje dolžnosti in prepozna neodtujljive pravice Palestincev do samoodločbe in začne v celoti spoštovati predpise mednarodnega prava, tako da:
1. Konča okupacijo in kolonzacijo vseh arabskih ozemelj in poruši zid
2. Prepozna temeljne pravice arabsko-palestinskih državljanov Izraela do popolne enakopravnosti; in
3. Spoštuje, zaščiti in podpre pravico palestinskih beguncev, da se vrnejo v svoje domove in posesti, kot je bilo dogovorjeno v resoluciji ZN 194.
Poziv so podpisali:
palestinske politične stranke, sindikati, društva, koalicije in organizacije, ki so navedene spodaj, predstavljajo tri osnovne dele palestinskega naroda: palestinske begunce, Palestince, ki živijo pod izraelsko okupacijo in palestinske državljane Izraela.
